A far away place that almost no trees are able to survive, shrubs is almost all you can see there, and rocks, everywhere. A small lake also reminds you of what you once had of pristine back in time. And buildings that you once thought could bring you safety.

This personal artwork was created for a MattePaint Contest - Visions of the Future, using photos from their website, sketching and using
photoreal matte painting techniques at Photoshop.

My idea here was to establish a wild, distant, natural landscape base to create a cityscape on top of that, I love this kind of approach, and not just because of the technical flow, but the creative process itself, to imagine and be able to transform an environment my own way.
